I missed the sarcastic part of being a tester here. How about replacing the things in the time arrow with some more humor. The arguments to become a tester now seem to be very negative :/
(I hoped to have some examples what a sports star could excel at, and then as a last step become a tester. :>)
This one is awesome! Thank you for entertaining us, you bring life to QA/testing through your cartoons :)
2 things - a. Request you to add a cartoon on similar lines for bugs (or bugs that are not caught) (i mean how bugs are introduced in a system)
and
b. a positive version of the above.. for people who educate themselves to become software testers (though I am not one, else they wud find it offensive, on lines similar to @Markus)
This is a cartoon I did a while back and I remember that I struggled to decide what to write in the middle. The main idea that I was trying to put across is that I don't know of anyone who planned to be a tester while at school, somehow though, they've become a tester. But, the cartoon comes over negatively… I must work on that, thanks for the feedback.
Let me clear about one thing, I feel I’m extremely lucky to be in the job I’m in! I've had lots and lots of lucky breaks. Similarly to a song from a band that I used to love, Catatonia, I sing “Every day, when I wake up, I thank the Lord I test”. ;o)
Hi Younus,
Thanks! I’ll have a think about your ideas, see if I can come up with something.
I'm a tester, I test, some days I enjoy testing. I follow a few testing blogs and when ever I can I add comments in test forums. I hope through the test cartoon blog, testers will understand something new about the craft of testing. You can contact me on cartoontesting@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteHey! I used to send letters to SEGA when I was 8 or 9 years old asking them to hire me as a beta tester!

You may be a software tester, but that means you should also spot typos => "Carrer" = Career!
